The project titled “InGaAs Gunn Diode-Based Light Emitting Devices” under the direction of Prof. Dr. Ayse Erol, a member of the Advisory Board of our Center and Faculty Member of Istanbul University, and the research team of our Center Director, Assoc. Dr. Ilkay Demir, TUBITAK 1001-Scientific and Technological Research Projects Support Program entitled to support.
Prof. Dr. Erol said that the project proposal is of such nature as to form the basis for the creation of new projects within the scope of the development of InGaAs-based Fabry-Perot and InGaAs-based Gunn lasers with surface vertical-cavity radiating at 1550nm with domestic and national resources. She also stated that the project is aimed to be completed in 30 months and 3 scholarship holders, 2 doctorates and 1 graduate student, will be supported within the scope of the project.
