According to the results of the first call period of 2026 under the TÜBİTAK 1001 – Scientific and Technological Research Projects Funding Program, three research projects to be conducted at CÜNAM have been awarded funding.

The funded projects are:

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih AKYOL: “Development of Epitaxial Rutile-Phase GeO₂ Thin-Film-Based Solar-Blind Photodetectors”
Asst. Prof. Dr. Ozan ÖZTÜRK: “Systematic Fabrication of Next-Generation TMD/SnS₂ Heterostructures and Design of High-Efficiency PEC Electrodes”
Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulsalam Aji SULEIMAN: “Sputtering-Based 2D Chalcogenides: Development of Experiment–Simulation Co-Design for Broadband Photodetectors”
