PSA Nitrogen Generator System
27 December 2024
The Nitrogen Production Unit is an industrial system designed to obtain pure nitrogen gas from atmospheric air. Nitrogen generators essentially work by separating nitrogen molecules from oxygen molecules in compressed air. In a Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) system, nitrogen production is achieved by trapping oxygen in the airflow through adsorption. Adsorption occurs when molecules bind to an adsorbent material. In this case, oxygen molecules attach to the carbon molecular sieve (CMS). This process takes place in two separate pressurized tanks, each filled with CMS, enabling a transition between the separation process and the regeneration process.
The PSA Nitrogen Generator System consists of the following equipment:
- Tank Top Screw Air Compressor
- Time-Controlled Discharge Device
- Water Separator
- Air Dryer Inlet Filter
- Gas-Cooled Air Dryer
- Activated Carbon Tower
- Dust Filter
- Nitrogen Generator Inlet Filter
- PSA Nitrogen Generator
- Nitrogen Balancing Tank
- Automatic Purity Control System
- Nitrogen Storage Tank
- Nitrogen Storage Tank Outlet Filter
