The Flip Scribe allows users to easily and accurately cut various materials such as glass, sapphire, Gallium Arsenide (GaAs), Indium Phosphide (InP), Gallium Nitride (GaN), and other substrates by creating clean and straight lines. This device integrates a sturdy diamond scriber into a sample platform with a fence guide design, enabling quick alignment and scribbing. Additionally, it allows users to define the length of the line with a “scribe stop,” enabling rapid and clean division of large-area samples into smaller pieces.

• It ensures accurate cutting from the front to the targets on the back of the sample with the scratches created on the backside.
• It prevents damage to the front side of the sample.
• It achieves an accuracy of ±200 μm.
• The sample can be cut to the desired size and shape.
• The scriber’s length can be adjusted between 1-100 mm.
