Job Description

The researcher will be responsible for designing and conducting crystal growth experiments using the MOCVD system. The electrical, structural, and optical properties will be characterized using XRD, Hall, IV-CV, Spectrophotometer, PL, Raman, Ellipsometer, and AFM systems. Defining, organizing, and validating process developments for the epitaxial growth of materials. Identifying process requirements and development opportunities. Executing process optimization and development projects on time. Actively contributing to research programs and joint development programs conducted with external partners. Sharing and discussing the obtained results in team and program meetings. Proposing and executing externally funded project proposals. Interacting with graduate students working within the infrastructure.

Qualifications

A PhD degree in Physics, Materials Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a closely related field.
A strong publication record.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in epitaxial crystal growth, MOCVD or MBE experience is preferred.
Experience in characterization techniques (XRD, PL, Raman, Hall, Spectrophotometer, Ellipsometer, AFM).

The Nanophotonics Research and Application Center-CÜNAM of Sivas Cumhuriyet University (http://nanofotonik.cumhuriyet.edu.tr/) is looking for postdoctoral researchers to work on semiconductor lasers, infrared detectors, semiconductor epitaxial devices, epitaxial crystal growth, and characterization of III-V semiconductors (In Ga Al As/P/N) using the metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) method.
