Sivas Cumhuriyet University (SCÜ) is seeking international graduate students who have been admitted to the master’s and doctoral programs offered under the Institute of Science for the 2025–2026 Spring Semester, to actively work at CÜNAM (Cumhuriyet University Nanophotonics Application and Research Center).

🔬 CÜNAM Research Areas

CÜNAM provides a well-equipped laboratory infrastructure covering:

• Semiconductor epitaxial growth and characterization
• Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCL)
• SWIR photodetectors
• Semiconductor laser diodes
• VCSEL structures
• LED technologies
• Tandem solar cells
• Optical coating engineering
• Two-dimensional (2D) materials
• Artificial intelligence–based technologies
• Energy storage applications (supercapacitors)

Graduate thesis studies may be carried out within these laboratories.

💰 Scholarship Opportunities

Eligible candidates will be supported with scholarships within the scope of ongoing research projects.
The scholarship amount will be determined according to whether the candidate is enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program.

🗓️ CÜNAM Application Process

Applications to CÜNAM will be accepted after the completion of official enrollment in SCU graduate programs.
Applications from international students will be evaluated within a separate quota specifically allocated for international applicants, independent of the quotas reserved for domestic students.
