As part of the CUNAM Scientific Events Series, we held our special event dedicated to the International Day of Light on May 14, 2026.

The event began with the opening remarks of Vice Rector of Sivas Cumhuriyet University, Prof. Dr. Salih Cem İnan. Afterwards, Prof. Dr. Sabit Horoz, Coordinator of the CUNAM Scientific Events Office, delivered a speech within the scope of the program.

Our invited speakers;

Prof. Dr. Ömer Yavaş,
and Assist. Prof. Dr. İsa Hatipoğlu,
shared their valuable presentations on light, photonic sciences, nanotechnology, accelerator-based radiation sources, and solar-blind light detection applications with the participants.

We would like to thank all our speakers for their valuable scientific contributions, as well as our academicians, researchers, students, and guests who honored us with their participation.

We were delighted to celebrate this special day, where light transforms into science, at CUNAM.
