Within the scope of occupational health and safety, a fire safety training and drill was conducted at the Nanophotonics and Applications Research Center (CÜNAM) in cooperation with the Sivas Municipality Fire Department.

The program, organized to enhance CÜNAM’s level of preparedness for emergency situations, was held at the CÜNAM campus on December 20, 2025, at 14:00, following the completion of the necessary official procedures.

The 60-minute training program included both theoretical instruction and practical exercises. The theoretical session covered fire types, initial response methods, proper use of fire extinguishing equipment, and emergency procedures. The practical session involved hands-on training on the use of fire extinguishers. In addition, existing fire safety equipment was inspected and the fire alarm system was tested.

The drill was successfully completed as an important activity aimed at improving CÜNAM personnel’s ability to respond to fire incidents in a safe and effective manner. CÜNAM will continue to carry out occupational health and safety training and drills in cooperation with fire departments and relevant institutions.
