CÜNAM aims to become a leading international research center in the fields of optoelectronics and electronic device technology with scientific studies, qualified R&D activities, and high-value-added production. In this context, we are looking for a "Researcher" to be employed under a fixed-term contract and within the framework of the Labor Law No. 4857 to work at our center. CÜNAM has been established to transform knowledge into value-added products in critical areas for our country by creating collaborations with industry, R&D centers, universities, and other research institutions in thematic areas in accordance with the priorities of our country. In 2024, CÜNAM gained the qualification from the Research Infrastructures Commission and became eligible to be recognized as a "National Research Infrastructure" under Law No. 6550. The Nanophotonics Research and Application Center-CÜNAM of Sivas Cumhuriyet University (http://nanofotonik.cumhuriyet.edu.tr/) is looking for postdoctoral researchers to work on semiconductor lasers, infrared detectors, semiconductor epitaxial devices, epitaxial crystal growth, and characterization of III-V semiconductors (In Ga Al As/P/N) using the metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) method.

The researcher will be responsible for designing and conducting crystal growth experiments using the MOCVD system. The electrical, structural, and optical properties will be characterized using XRD, Hall, IV-CV, Spectrophotometer, PL, Raman, Ellipsometer, and AFM systems. Defining, organizing, and validating process developments for the epitaxial growth of materials. Identifying process requirements and development opportunities. Executing process optimization and development projects on time. Actively contributing to research programs and joint development programs conducted with external partners. Sharing and discussing the obtained results in team and program meetings. Proposing and executing externally funded project proposals. Interacting with graduate students working within the infrastructure.

• A PhD degree in Physics, Materials Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a closely related field.
• A strong publication record.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in epitaxial crystal growth, MOCVD or MBE experience is preferred.
• Experience in characterization techniques (XRD, PL, Raman, Hall, Spectrophotometer, Ellipsometer, AFM).
