Sivas Cumhuriyet University Nanophotonics Application and Research Center (CÜNAM) is one of Türkiye’s leading advanced technology R&D ecosystems. Having gained legal entity status under Law No. 6550 on Supporting Research Infrastructures, CÜNAM operates to global standards in the fields of nanophotonics, semiconductor technologies, and advanced materials science. With its administrative and financial autonomy, the Center offers a dynamic working environment beyond conventional structures. In line with our global objectives, we are seeking a Procurement and Foreign Trade Specialist who will manage the Center’s domestic and international procurement and tender processes and establish direct commercial relationships with global companies to support the expansion of our advanced technologies into international markets.

  • Managing end-to-end procurement and tender processes for machinery, equipment, consumables, and services required by the Center from domestic and international markets.
  • Coordinating the preparation of technical specifications in compliance with the procurement and tender regulations applicable to the Center; collecting quotations, preparing comparison tables, and managing tender committee processes.
  • Conducting direct negotiations with prospective international companies during the global commercialization of high-tech products and services developed by CÜNAM, and concluding cooperation and sales agreements.
  • Expanding the international supplier and customer database and managing corporate correspondence and quotation processes.
  • Monitoring import, export, and customs clearance procedures in compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Managing basic operations such as invoices, delivery notes, and payment tracking related to procurement and sales processes in coordination with preliminary accounting procedures.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university programme.
  • Knowledge of Legislation: Proficiency in public tender procedures, procurement techniques, market research, and contract law. Experience with procurement and tender legislation and regulations applicable to research infrastructures operating under Law No. 6550 is preferred.
  • English Proficiency (Critical): Excellent command of English, with the ability to conduct direct commercial discussions, negotiations, and sales processes with international companies fluently and persuasively.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Basic knowledge of preliminary accounting processes sufficient to monitor routine financial operations is preferred.
  • Experience: At least five years of experience in domestic or international procurement, foreign trade, tender management, or international sales.
  • Personal Competencies: Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills; analytical thinking; ability to work effectively in a team; and a results-oriented approach.
  • Military Service: For male candidates, military service must have been completed or the candidate must be exempt.
